"Numaligarh Shodhanagar Shakha Sahitya Sabha (NSSSS)", a branch of premier literary organization of the State, "Axom Xahitya Xabha" came into being as a result of some of the literary and culturally interested employees of NRL as well as residents of NRL Township gathered in a public meeting held at Community Centre, NRL Township on 21st June, 2001 i.e. in the eve of AMBUBASHI of the year 1923 Shakabda in presence of then Secretary and Treasurer of the Golaghat Jila Sahitya Sabha with aim to keep on practice of the Assamese literature, art and Culture as well as to promote knowledge, love and respect to our mother tongue, motherland and lovely nature of the native land...
